The Two Minute Rule

The Two Minute Rule Cover I’ve noticed some books read with a lighter feel and a more straight forward pace than others, and The Two Minute Rule would fit that description in my opinion. By lighter, I’m suggesting that it’s an easier read, as the story moved steady, not buried in tons of details. The story centers around Max Holman, who is just being released from prison after a ten year sentence for bank robbery. As unfortunate as it can be, Holman’s son, who has grown up to be an LAPD officer, is killed along with three other officers – the night before Holman’s release. From that point on, Holman spends every waking moment searching for his sons killer and any clue he can find that will give him answers to not only the murders, but also what kind of man his son was. He teams up with former FBI agent Katherine Pollard, who happens to be the agent who put him away for ten years.

I really liked the book, and give it “two thumbs up”. The story thrives on edge-of-your-seat-action, and rides heavy on emotion as Holman deals with the kind of life he’s lived, and how his son might have turned out.
